Company fundraising plan
This page is for company organisers running a shared fundraising campaign. Set team and per-person targets first, then layer in matched giving and Gift Aid.
Start with the numbers
Set a per-person target and a team total. £150-250 per person is realistic for most teams. Keep the team total visible with a shared tracker so progress stays clear.
For the full approach to setting targets and structuring a campaign, see the fundraising hub.
Matched giving
If your employer matches what the team raises (even up to a cap), the total can double. A team of 20 raising £4,000 with pound-for-pound matching becomes £8,000 from one event.
Many companies have matching schemes that go unused. Check with HR or your CSR team, and mention it early so donors know their contribution goes further.

Gift Aid
If your donors are UK taxpayers and they tick the Gift Aid box, HMRC adds 25p to every £1 at no cost to anyone. On a £4,000 total, that is an extra £1,000 for the charity.
JustGiving handles this automatically. Full guide: Gift Aid explained.

Next steps
Book the event, then start the campaign
Company fundraising works best when the team has a fixed event date. Book first, then share the fundraising target with your team.
